The Chinese embassy in Malaysia stated on Tuesday that the accord will remain valid for five years and will undergo an automatic extension for an additional five-year period.

The embassy expressed confidence that once implemented, this agreement will boost interpersonal interactions, improve mutual comprehension, and strengthen collaboration across various sectors between the two nations.
Malaysia has recently declared that the visa-free travel privilege for visitors from China will be prolonged for another five years, with the possibility of further extending this status for an additional half-decade, according to statements made by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
